When Despierta América needed a renovated graphics package, I gladly accepted the challenge to bring this cultural signature show to a brighter spotlight. I was brought into this project after some revised preliminary design pitches. The graphics team working on the design for the new logo had a peculiar proposition.
The logo design had balanced circular frame, bright color palettes, and textures that resembled indigenous dyed textiles of central and south America. Inspired by the layers of cultural depth from the design proposition, I began an motion exploration of circular particles, bouncing off a white substrate as to ignite life giving color that would welcome the viewer to a bright morning rise.
I used bend deformers, Xpresso nodes, and adjusted countless bezier curves on cameras and shapes until it all came together. All to awake America, that is to Despertia América. The next season, the morning show won an Emmy award.
